The Visonic XCELPLUS Extended Life model is a high capacity battery backup for the Amber Select and AmberLink wireless emergency response system. The Extended Life model is recommended for anyone that has a Amber series product and requires more hours of backup from their control panel and doesn't want to replace the battery for the next 4-5 years.

The Visonic XCELPLUS Standard model is also suitable for the Amber Select and AmberLink emergency response system, but may only offer 3-4 hours backup in the event of a power cut, and require replacing within 2-3 years.

The Visonic XCELPLUS Extended Life and Standard model battery are compatible with all Amber series panels. The XCELPLUS Extended Life is the highest capacity battery available on the market and unlike budget consumer batteries, it's produced using the highest quality industrial, nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) batteries.

Variations:
Depending on the requirements of your Amber Select / AmberLink, your installer may have installed 1 of 2 different specifications of battery. The most common is the 0-9912-G; a 9.6V 8 cell pack, or the 103-301179; 7.2V 6 cell pack.
Features:
XCELPLUS are the only producer of Visonic batteries which include a PTC resettable fuse, used to protect against overcurrent faults or reverse polarity insertion. All batteries can leak acid when they're depleted for long periods if gone un-checked. PTC resettable fuses prevent further damage to the control panel from short-circuit faults caused by battery acid. As of 2014 all batteries sold by XCELPLUS now feature this vital protection.
