The Visonic XCELPLUS Extended Life model is a high capacity battery backup for the latest range of PowerMax series MCS wireless alarm siren bell boxes. The Extended Life model is a 4.0Ah lithium battery offering 4-5 years backup.
The Visonic XCELPLUS Standard model is also suitable for the latest PowerMax series alarms, like the original, a 3.5Ah and offers 2-3 year life depending on the frequency of use.
The MCS-740 siren requires a quantity of two packs of the 2XER18505M battery pack.
The Visonic XCELPLUS Extended Life and Standard model battery are compatible with the MCS-740 and SR-740 PG2 bell boxes. The XCELPLUS Extended Life is the highest capacity battery available on the market unlike traditional alkaline batteries, it's produced using the highest capacity 4.0Ah lithium thionyl chloride (LiSOCl2) battery.
The MSC-740 and SR-740 PG2 requires 2 batteries per siren to achieve the 7.2V output needed to operate the siren. Purchasing two is necessary.
